The Automation Engineer will build, maintain, and execute automated regression tests under the guidance of the Test Architect / Automation Lead. This role will support the creation of scalable and maintainable regression suites for IE and CSE applications.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Minimum 10 years of testing/automation experience
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting SNAP, TANF, Child Care, and/or Child Support program technology initiatives
Minimum 2 years of experience with state eligibility systems, technologies, and SOPs
Experience in UI, API, and regression automation
Experience with scripting/programming for test automation
Experience building maintainable automation assets in enterprise systems
Strong debugging, logging, and defect analysis skills
Ability to work closely with functional leads and manual testers
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated regression test scripts
Participate in framework implementation and enhancement
Review functional requirements and identify automation candidates
Create reusable automation components, test data handling routines, and execution assets
Execute automated tests and analyze failures
Support defect identification and troubleshooting
Maintain script documentation, execution logs, and automation coverage metrics
Collaborate with functional testers and test leads to align automated coverage with planned regression scope
Support pilot, statewide, and post-go-live regression cycles
