Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst with strong Healthcare/Payer domain expertise, particularly in Provider Data Management. The ideal candidate will bridge business, product, architecture, development, and data engineering teams while translating healthcare business needs into clear technical requirements and data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

  • Demonstrate strong healthcare domain knowledge, especially Provider Data Management, including:

    • Provider demographics

    • Provider networks

    • Affiliations

    • Specialties

    • Locations

    • Provider directory data

  • Understand healthcare data involving providers, members, claims, networks, and reference/master data.

  • Use strong SQL skills for data analysis, profiling, reconciliation, validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Analyze and document RESTful APIs, including JSON payloads, authentication, integrations, error handling, and API testing.

  • Apply working knowledge of Java and/or Python to understand application logic, integrations, and automation.

  • Understand Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud environments.

  • Develop source-to-target mappings, data mappings, API/interface specifications, functional documentation, and technical requirements.

  • Analyze provider data quality issues, including matching, duplicate records, transformations, integrations, and downstream dependencies.

  • Support API testing, data validation, UAT, defect analysis, root-cause investigation, and production validation.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and release activities.

  • Collaborate closely with healthcare business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, QA, and data engineering teams.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst.

  • Strong Healthcare/Payer domain experience.

  • Hands-on experience with Provider Data Management or provider data platforms.

  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.

  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, API integrations, and API testing.

  • Experience creating data mappings, source-to-target mappings, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Strong understanding of data integration and data quality concepts.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Java and/or Python.

  • Exposure to Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Experience with healthcare provider directories, provider networks, credentialing, or payer data.

  • Knowledge of claims, member, provider, and reference/master data.

  • Experience with tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, Jira, and Confluence.
