Mainframe Skills |
· Experience (10+ years) in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with IBM-Z/OS Mainframe applications |
· Experience with |
· Mainframe development suite, COBOL, JCL, CICS, MQ, VSAM including both batch and real-time processes. |
· CICS Main view, REXX, CLIST |
· Proficient in FTP/NDM/File-Mover, CA-7, IBM Utilities, Intertest, File Aid, TSO/ISPF/SDSF, File Manager, Change man, SORT |
· Experience with debug tools like Xpediter |
· Strong Database design and development skills in IMS DB, DB2, DB2 SQL and Stored Procedures |
· Experience with IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solution |
· Exposure to distributed Technologies – Java, Kafka, Rest Web Service, XML |

Job responsibilities |
· Develops secure high-quality production code using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS, and reviews and debugs code written by others. |
· Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems |
· Estimate and plan JIRA stories, document your tasks |
· Perform hands on coding and peer review the code to guarantee stability of applications, adhere to architecture standards, risk management, security policies, processes and procedures |
· Ability to work independently without intensive oversight |
· Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals |
