Summary
Job Responsibilities
Lead and execute Technology Business Management (TBM) Expense Transparency activities across IT divisions.
Develop, maintain, and refine TBM financial models, reporting frameworks, and cost allocation models.
Maintain service tower mappings and Run/Innovate categorization for IT expenses.
Partner with IT Service Owners to validate financial inputs and understand IT cost drivers.
Support and maintain financial reporting used to communicate IT spend, costs, and trends to stakeholders.
Validate, enhance, and update cost allocation methodologies and allocation rules.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and defensibility of financial reporting and cost models.
Review and improve data sources, mapping logic, allocation rules, and cost modeling assumptions.
Translate complex IT financial data into meaningful insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Business teams to improve financial transparency and accountability.
Requirements
1–3 years of experience in TBM, IT Financial Management, IT cost transparency, IT billing, or chargeback.
Strong understanding of:
Budgeting and forecasting
Cost allocation
Financial reporting and analysis
IT expense management
Cost transparency and chargeback principles
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
Data modeling
Complex formulas
Pivot tables
Automation
Scenario analysis
Experience working with large and complex financial datasets.
Ability to analyze financial information and communicate meaningful insights to non-financial audiences.
Strong collaboration skills with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders.
Qualifications
Experience with Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks and cost modeling.
Familiarity with TBM tools and cost transparency reporting.
Experience creating or supporting Power BI dashboards and financial reporting.
Knowledge of allocation methodologies, service tower mapping, and IT cost models.
Experience with ServiceNow, particularly:
IT Financial Management (ITFM)
CMDB
Application Portfolio Management (APM)
Service taxonomy
Request and asset workflows
Experience with PeopleSoft Financials or similar ERP systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
