Job Summary:
Tryfacta is seeking a Database Programmer/Analyst for a temporary contract assignment in Philadelphia, PA. This role will support data engineering, ingestion, transformation, and reporting activities by developing and maintaining structured, reliable, and well-documented data pipelines.

Position Details:

Position Title: Database Programmer/Analyst
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 3+Month Extendable
Work Schedule: Part-Time – 20 Hours per Week
Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain Python scripts to retrieve and ingest data from APIs and external sources into PostgreSQL databases

• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, tables, and views to support reporting and analytics

• Prepare and structure datasets for dashboards, reporting, and advanced analytics

• Perform data validation, cleansing, and consistency checks

• Maintain organized scripts, queries, and documentation for long-term maintainability

• Document data sources, transformation logic, and execution processes

• Troubleshoot data pipeline and data flow issues

• Support internal teams with data access and reporting needs

Required Qualifications:

• Strong SQL experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational database systems

• Experience developing Python scripts for data ingestion and processing

• Experience working with data pipelines, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)

• Experience supporting reporting and analytics tools

• Strong documentation and code organization practices

• Ability to work in structured, manual, or semi-automated environments

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Metabase or similar business intelligence tools

• Experience supporting analytics workflows using R or similar tools

• Experience working with REST APIs and authentication methods

• Experience maintaining data pipelines in production environments

• Experience working in government or public sector environments
