Summary
Responsibilities
- Administer and support Oracle Database 19c environments, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning improvements to support reliability and efficiency.
- Apply database security patches and help maintain compliance with security standards and operational requirements.
- Support Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.9 environments, including patching, cloning, concurrent manager administration, and routine maintenance.
- Work in an AIX Unix environment and use scripting and automation to streamline operational tasks.
- Use Oracle Enterprise Manager to support proactive monitoring, diagnostics, and performance management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical updates clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, process guides, and architecture diagrams.
- Support audit and compliance activities as needed.
- Be available for planned after-hours or weekend maintenance and urgent support when required.
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, with a strong focus on Oracle E-Business Suite.
- Deep experience with Oracle Database 19c in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS 12.2.9, including patching and upgrade activities.
- Background in Unix administration, especially AIX, along with scripting skills.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring and performance support.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database and application issues effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to document technical solutions and collaborate across teams.
- Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and Excel.
- Flexibility to support maintenance windows and operational needs outside standard hours.
- Oracle Certified Professional or an equivalent certification.
- Experience with ETL tools or processes such as Informatica, Oracle Data Integrator, or PL/SQL-based ETL.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX for internal tools or dashboards.
- Exposure to Oracle ATP and ADW.
- Familiarity with Oracle middleware technologies such as OIC.
- Knowledge of Audit Vault and Splunk for auditing and logging.
- Experience supporting SOX or other internal/external audit processes.
- Awareness of REST APIs and web services used in Oracle Cloud integrations.
