Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable and observant Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Rifle, Colorado. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in protecting people and property while providing exceptional customer service in a professional environment.
The selected officer will perform routine patrols, monitor security systems, assist with access control, and respond to security-related situations while maintaining a visible and professional presence. This role requires excellent judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently throughout evening shifts.

- Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities Patrol & Property Protection - Conduct scheduled foot and vehicle patrols throughout assigned areas.
- Inspect doors, gates, windows, parking areas, and other designated access points.
- Identify unsafe conditions, maintenance concerns, or potential security risks.
- Maintain a visible security presence to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor assigned locations to help protect client property and assets.
Access Control & Security Monitoring - Verify identification and manage visitor access in accordance with site procedures.
- Issue visitor credentials and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control platforms.
- Report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, or policy violations promptly.
- Follow established post orders and operational procedures.
Incident Response - Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, and other security-related incidents.
- Assess situations and take appropriate action while following company and client procedures.
- Notify supervisors and emergency responders when required.
- Preserve accurate information regarding incidents for follow-up and documentation.
Documentation & Reporting - Complete daily activity logs and detailed incident reports.
- Document unusual events, observations, and operational concerns accurately.
- Utilize electronic reporting systems such as TrackTik, Belfry, or similar operational platforms.
- Maintain complete and confidential security records.
Customer Service - Provide courteous assistance to visitors, employees, contractors, and authorized guests.
- Answer questions and provide directions when appropriate.
- Maintain professional communication during all interactions.
- Represent Citadel Security USA with integrity, professionalism, and respect.
Minimum Qualifications - High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional security experience.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to complete electronic reports.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during stressful situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications - Two or more years of experience in security, military, law enforcement, or a related protective services field.
- Experience monitoring surveillance systems and access control equipment.
- Familiarity with TrackTik, Belfry, or similar reporting platforms.
- Working knowledge of emergency procedures, patrol operations, and post orders.
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
Screening & Employment Requirements - Successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation.
- Successfully complete any client-required drug screening.
- Complete all Citadel Security USA onboarding and training requirements.
- This is an unarmed position and does not require a firearm license.
Physical Requirements - Walk and stand for extended periods throughout each shift.
- Conduct indoor and outdoor patrols in varying weather conditions.
- Climb stairs and inspect multiple levels of assigned properties.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations.
- Lift or carry up to 25 pounds when necessary.
- Maintain visual and auditory awareness while monitoring assigned areas.
- Work evenings, weekends, holidays, or extended hours when operational needs require.
Work Environment - Combination of indoor and outdoor assignments.
- Active security environment requires continuous awareness and sound decision-making.
- Regular interaction with employees, visitors, contractors, client representatives, and emergency personnel.
- Frequent patrols through office buildings, commercial properties, retail locations, educational facilities, residential communities, and other client sites.
