Summary

Job Description:
Responsibilities
Analyze business and technical requirements for healthcare system integrations.
Design, develop, configure, and implement HL7 v2.x interfaces.
Support integration of EMR/EHR, LIS, RIS, PACS, billing, and third-party healthcare applications.
Perform message mapping, transformation, routing, and validation.
Troubleshoot interface issues and resolve data exchange problems.
Monitor interface engine performance and ensure system availability.
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
Participate in client implementation activities, go-live support, and post-production stabilization.
Create and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, and support procedures.
Collaborate with developers, clinicians, vendors, and project teams to deliver interoperability solutions.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy, and security standards.
Required Skills
HL7 & Healthcare Standards
Strong experience with HL7 v2.x messaging standards.
Knowledge of ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, DFT, MDM, and VXU message types.
Understanding of healthcare interoperability workflows.
Familiarity with FHIR, CDA/CCD, X12, and DICOM is preferred.
Interface Engines
Experience with one or more of the following:
Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect)
Cloverleaf
Rhapsody
Ensemble/IRIS for Health
Corepoint
IBM Integration Tools
Technical Skills
SQL and database querying (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
XML, JSON, XSLT, and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
Scripting experience using JavaScript, Java, Python, or similar technologies.
TCP/IP, VPN, SFTP, and secure healthcare data exchange protocols.
Understanding of API integrations and interoperability frameworks.
Nice to Have
Cloud integration experience (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
DevOps and CI/CD exposure
Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare compliance standards
Experience in large-scale healthcare data migration projects
