Position Title: Sr. IT Tester (Software QA / Systems Testing)
Location: Vienna, VA | Winchester, VA, | Pensacola, FL (Hybrid onsite 3 days/week)

Position Status: Contract (6 months; extensions possible)
Pay Rate: W2 (with PTO): $60/hr - $62/hr on W2
Position Description:
We re seeking a detail-oriented Senior IT Tester to support high-frequency release cycles in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a proactive QA professional who enjoys troubleshooting, collaborating closely with technical teams, and ensuring high-quality software/system releases through strong testing practices and clear communication.
What you ll do:
- Execute software and system testing across frequent release cycles (smoke, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing)
- Identify, reproduce, and clearly document defects; partner with engineers/analysts to drive resolution
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting before escalating issues (self-starter mindset)
- Validate data and results using SQL and database queries (and/or other database languages/tools)
- Communicate progress, risks, and blockers clearly to stakeholders in a timely manner
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes in an Agile / iterative delivery environment
Required Skills/Education:
Required:
- 5 10 years of experience in Software QA / System Testing in environments with high release frequency (CI/CD or rapid sprint cycles)
- Strong attention to detail with a quality-first mindset
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven approach
- Experience with SQL and working with databases for validation/troubleshooting
Nice to have (not required):
- Experience with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) / AEC
- Experience with Perfecto (test automation/mobile testing platform)
- Experience with Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH)
