Position : Senior DevOps Engineer–Cybersecurity/Application Security (Healthcare–Radiology & Oncology)
Location : Melbourne, FL(Onsite)
Contract : 6+ months & Extendable.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Cybersecurity and Application Security to support critical healthcare platforms in Radiology and Oncology. The ideal candidate will ensure secure, compliant, and scalable infrastructure while integrating security best practices across the DevOps lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
DevOps & Infrastructure
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for healthcare applications
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) with high availability and scalability
- Automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and uptime
Cybersecurity & Application Security
- Integrate security into DevSecOps pipelines (SAST, DAST, SCA tools)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing coordination
- Implement secure coding practices and security standards
- Manage secrets, encryption, identity & access management (IAM)
Healthcare Domain (Radiology & Oncology)
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, PHIPA, GDPR where applicable)
- Work with medical imaging systems (DICOM, PACS)
- Support oncology/radiology data workflows and secure data exchange
- Ensure data privacy and protection of sensitive patient information
Collaboration & Governance
- Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams
- Participate in architecture and security design reviews
- Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and compliance
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Hands-on with security tools (Snyk, Veracode, Checkmarx, OWASP tools)
- Knowledge of networking, firewalls, and security protocols
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (DICOM, HL7)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Radiology / Oncology systems
- Certifications: AWS/Azure, CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Kubernetes (CKA)
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK)
- Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture
