IT Support Specialist

Essential Functions:

1. Prvides customer support in the maintenance of systems.
2 Provides ongoing operational and user assistance to address application problems, provide on-call application support and assist users with application operations.
3. Provides technical support in the operation and use of application software systems.
4. Communicates with all levels of management and user department personnel to discuss job execution status, requests for reprints, equipment status and related problems that may occur.
5. Develops materials and methods to be used in training others in the use of various hardware and software.
6. Installs and/or upgrades software on PC ;s as instructed.

Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED AND Six months of education or experience in information security, privacy, system/network administration and support, or application development AND training and experience necessary to independently provide technical support to computer users in an assigned office/geographic area.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions:
Incumbents working in this job perform duties in an office setting. This is a -hour workweek requirement. The position may involve managing a high-volume workload and demands a high level of accuracy while working with deadlines. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8: a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
