Job Description CS is seeking a
Senior Check Point Firewall Engineer to work in our
Washington, DC office /
remote .
The role is contingent upon additional funding. ECS is seeking a
Senior Check Point Firewall Engineer to provide the following services to our Federal government client:
- Collaborate with customer staff to design, plan and implement new firewall architectures, upgrades and features as necessary.
- Lead in the administration of the client's Check Point firewalls to include updates, upgrades, policy administration and validation.
- Review and implement customer changes consistent with existing policies.
- Review and update documentation to ensure consistency with current procedures.
- Manage and tune additional software blades associated with firewall architecture. (IPS, URL, Application Control, AV, Advanced Malware detection).
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours to support outage resolution, planned maintenance or to implement an upgrade.
*5+ years of relevant work experience required*
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
General Description of Benefits
Required Skills - Minimum five (5) years of experience configuring and administering Checkpoint Firewalls.
- In-depth knowledge of security operations, including firewall rules and security policies.
- Strong networking ability and knowledge of firewall platforms to assist in rapid identification and isolation of issues during incidents and outages.
Desired Skills - Check Point certification(s) (e.g. CCSE or CCSA)
- Candidates that are local to the Washington, DC area for occasional on-site datacenter support
