Summary
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst Financial Crimes to support financial crime, insurance, and regulatory initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis skills, hands-on experience with Xceptor, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, development teams, and vendors within an Agile delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Translate business use cases into detailed JIRA user stories and acceptance criteria
- Work closely with client stakeholders to understand technical and business needs
- Support financial planning and financial crime-related initiatives
- Perform platform rationalization and solution assessments
- Respond to RFP/RFI requests related to Specialty Insurance products
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, cloud, and vendor teams
- Support Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups when required
- Develop process flows, screen mockups, and client-facing reports
- Support production issues for insurance applications under SLA/KPI guidelines
- Contribute to transformation, integration, automation, and data migration programs
- Mentor junior team members and take ownership of assigned components
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s or Master s degree (BE / BTech / MCA / MTech)
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in financial services or insurance
- Hands-on experience with Xceptor tool
- Strong experience writing SQL queries
- Expertise in JIRA (user stories, backlog grooming); Remedy experience is a plus
- Experience working independently with development teams
- Strong understanding of IT technology stacks (Frontend, Databases, APIs, Cloud)
- Knowledge of Agile, Iterative, DevOps, and ITIL practices
- Experience with data analysis and data migration
- Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Financial Crimes, AML, Compliance, or Risk domains
- Client-facing reporting experience
- Production support experience in insurance applications
- Exposure to cloud platforms and enterprise integration projects
