Umbraco Web Developer

Note : This role is completely remote and can sit anywhere in US !

We are seeking a skilled Umbraco Certified Expert for a 3-month contract to maintain, enhance, and optimize our Umbraco-based websites. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both current and legacy Umbraco instances, ensuring high-quality, mobile-optimized, and user-friendly web experiences. Contract extension possible (TBD) based on performance and project needs.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and update Umbraco websites, including older versions.

Create and optimize responsive, mobile-friendly web pages.

Implement HTML, CSS, and JavaScript solutions for new and existing site features.

Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly.

Collaborate with design and content teams to implement updates and enhancements.

Ensure websites meet accessibility standards and SEO best practices.

Maintain security, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.

Must Have

• Umbraco Certified Expert with proven experience in multiple Umbraco versions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AI-assisted coding techniques using tools such as Cursor and/or Claude Code 
• Strong HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills.
• Experience developing responsive, mobile-optimized web pages.
• Understanding of website performance optimization and best practices.
• Knowledge of SEO, accessibility (WCAG), and usability principles.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with design/developer tools like Figma

Nice to Have

• Experience with .NET/C# development for custom Umbraco functionality.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Previous work on freelance or agency projects managing multiple websites.
• Familiarity with third-party marketing tools such as Pardot.
