Summary

Job Title: Azure Principal Architect

Location: Remote

Duration- 5+ Months Contract


Scope:

  • Principal Architect-level Azure expertise with extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating Azure environments.
  • Deep technical knowledge across Azure's core services, particularly networking, compute, and Blob Storage.
  • Strong experience with Azure migrations, including planning, execution, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Ability to quickly familiarize themselves with client's environment and work independently alongside their infrastructure team.
  • Broad understanding of Azure services, with the ability to provide technical guidance across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Comfortable collaborating with other infrastructure teams, including networking.

Anticipated Projects & Responsibilities

  • Azure Migrations: Work alongside Dan's team to plan and execute migrations into Azure.
  • Azure Networking, Compute & Storage: Support design, configuration, integration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Azure Arc: Assist with evaluating and testing Azure Arc, which the firm is currently exploring.
  • Azure SQL: Support testing and evaluation of Azure SQL services.
  • Azure Resiliency & Disaster Recovery: Evaluate additional Azure-native services that could improve the firm's overall resiliency and recovery posture.
  • Azure Site Recovery: Build on the firm's previous assessment and help determine potential next steps.
  • Cross-Team Support: Potentially assist the networking team with Azure-related projects and integrations.

Skills Must Have

  • Principal-level Azure architecture and hands-on engineering.
  • Azure networking, compute, and Blob Storage.
  • On-prem to Azure migrations and hybrid integration.
  • Implementation, troubleshooting, and testing.
  • Independent, customer-facing execution

Skills Nice to Have

  • Azure Arc and Azure SQL.
  • Azure Site Recovery, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Automation (Ansible).
  • Azure security, governance, and cost optimization.
