Job OverviewWe are seeking a
Level 2 Data Center Technician to support a large-scale
FIOS initiative for one of the world's leading technology organizations. This position sits onsite at data center facilities in the
Miami, FL market and focuses on
fiber troubleshooting, ticket resolution, and data center operations.This role is ideal for a technician who understands data center environments and enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, infrastructure support, and working within a ticket-driven service model.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve fiber-optic cable issues within a data center environment
- Respond to and resolve assigned tickets following established SLAs
- Perform rack and stack, equipment installs, and decommissioning
- Support data center maintenance activities
- Assist with hardware troubleshooting and connectivity issues
- Work in coordination with on-site teams to support ongoing FIOS initiatives
- Accurately document work performed and resolutions completedRequired (Top Skills)
- Previous Data Center Technician experience (Level 2 or equivalent)
- Strong experience with fiber cable troubleshooting
- Proven ticket resolution experience in a data center or enterprise environment
- Understanding of data center best practices and procedures
Nice-to-Have / Secondary Skills- Experience with:
- Data center maintenance
- Rack and stack
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Structured cabling
- Working knowledge of:
- Cat5 / Cat6 cabling
- Data center infrastructure components
Additional Qualifications- Enthusiastic, engaged, and proactive approach to technical work
- Strong attention to detail and documentation
- Comfortable working onsite in a data center environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
