Energy Industry - Business Applications Developer
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Applications Developer with deep experience designing, building, and deploying enterprise-grade digital solutions across the Microsoft and modern data platform ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have hands-on project experience within the energy sector, preferably supporting major upstream/downstream operations.
This individual will be responsible for developing data-driven business applications using Power BI, Airtable, Power Apps, and the broader Microsoft Power Platform, while leveraging strong programming and data engineering fundamentals
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain business applications, workflows, dashboards, and automations using:
- Power BI
- Power Apps
- Power Automate
- Airtable
- Develop scalable data models, analytical solutions, and ETL/ELT processes supporting high-volume, enterprise-grade analytics.
- Integrate business applications with Snowflake and Azure Synapse Analytics platforms.
- Write high-quality code for application logic, automation, and integration using:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate business requirements into functional solutions.
- Implement robust data governance, quality, and validation practices.
- Optimize existing applications and streamline workflows across multiple business units.
- Ensure security, compliance, and alignment with enterprise data architecture standards.
- Contribute to Agile project ceremonies and cross-functional team planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 3 7 years of hands-on experience building applications and analytics solutions using:
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Airtable
- Strong proficiency in:
- Demonstrated experience integrating applications with Snowflake and/or Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Familiarity with upstream, midstream, or downstream workflows such as:
- Production operations
- Drilling & completions
- Supply & trading
- Refining & petrochemicals
- Asset management
- (experience in at least one area required)
Preferred Skills
- Experience implementing low-code/no-code solutions at enterprise scale.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or other cloud data tools.
- Understanding of API development, REST services, and integration patterns.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
