This position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their litigation, depositions, mediations, settlements, and legal research skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the legal industry and a proven track record of success in their previous roles.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
2. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
3. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
4. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
5. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes, mediate between parties, and coordinate case handling with other attorneys.
6. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
7. Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
8. Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
9. Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a member in good standing with the local State Bar Association.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong background in litigation, depositions, mediations, settlements, and legal research.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.
5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
6. Proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients in complex legal cases.
7. Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply complex laws and regulations.
9. High level of professional ethics and integrity.
10. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and conditions for clients.
