Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Database Engineer with strong PostgreSQL expertise to design, administer, and optimize enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in database performance tuning, high availability, backup & recovery, and production support. This role requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure database platforms.

Must-Have Skills

8+ years of Database Engineering/DBA experience
5+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL administration
PostgreSQL performance tuning and query optimization
High Availability, Replication, Backup & Recovery
Strong SQL and PL/pgSQL
Linux administration
Scripting (Python or Bash)
Experience with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform database environments
Production support and troubleshooting
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

Kubernetes or Docker
Terraform or Ansible
PostgreSQL managed services (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure Database for PostgreSQL)
Database migration and automation experience
