Location : Mountain View, CA 94043 Or San Diego, CA 92129 (100% Onsite)
Must have : Legal Domain Expertise: Experience working with Legal, Compliance, or FinTech
organizations. You understand the nuances of legal workflows (e.g., matter
management, eDiscovery, CLM, regulatory audits, mergers & acquisition due
diligence, marketing compliance).
Knowledge of Legal Stacks: Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Legal
Tracker, Ironclad, Exterro, or Tonkean
What You'll Do
- Drive the "Build vs. Buy" Strategy: Lead the evaluation of emerging Legal AI
- vendors (e.g., Eudia, Harvey, Hebbia) against internal capabilities. Conduct deep
- technical and functional diligence to ensure 3rd-party solutions are not just
- "vaporware" but deliver tangible ROI.
- Orchestrate the "Unified Front Door": Own the roadmap for our unified
- orchestration layer (currently leveraging Tonkean). You will design workflows that
- centralize intake from disparate channels (Slack, Email, Jira) into a seamless legal
- workspace, reducing manual toil and "chasing" for status updates.
- Partner with Legal Domains: Embed with practice groups to solve specific domain
- challenges, such as:
- Intellectual Property: Optimizing patent and invention disclosure workflows.
- Privacy & Compliance: Automating 7216 tax return information standards
- and compliance assurance monitoring.
- Matter Management: Streamlining accruals, budget forecasting, and outside
- counsel management via Legal Tracker integrations.
- Enable AI-Powered Innovation: Move beyond pilots to production. Lead initiatives
- such as AI-Assisted Reviews and Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) that
- operationalize legal expertise and reduce reliance on individual SMEs.
- Data & Operational Excellence: Define the requirements for shared data
- infrastructure (Legal Data Lake) to enable real-time reporting and resource allocation.
What You'll Bring
Product Management Craft: 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with a
track record of managing complex B2B or internal enterprise products. You are skilled
at writing clear PRDs, managing backlogs, and leading agile teams.
Legal Domain Expertise: Experience working with Legal, Compliance, or FinTech
organizations. You understand the nuances of legal workflows (e.g., matter
management, eDiscovery, CLM, regulatory audits, mergers & acquisition due
diligence, marketing compliance).
Vendor Assessment & Integration: Proven ability to evaluate SaaS vendors. You
understand API integrations and have experience connecting disparate systems (e.g.,
connecting ServiceNow, Jira, and Ironclad to a central hub).
Analytical & Technical Aptitude: Ability to partner with Data Scientists and
Engineers. You can discuss data lineage, "Human-in-the-Loop" AI workflows, and
automation logic with credibility. Experience with AI coding assistants and ability to
apply human oversight.
Bias for Action & Autonomy: You thrive in ambiguity. You don't just take orders; you
proactively identify process bottlenecks (like manual Google Sheet tracking) and
propose scalable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Low-Code/Orchestration Platforms: Hands-on familiarity with
tools like Tonkean, generic workflow automation, or similar "front door" technologies.
AI/ML Familiarity: Experience deploying GenAI or NLP solutions in a regulated
environment (e.g., automated document review, chat interfaces for policy guidance).
Knowledge of Legal Stacks: Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Legal
Tracker, Ironclad, Exterro, or Tonkean
