Role Summary

Senior Backend Engineer with 6 12 years of hands-on experience in Golang, Java, or Python to lead the design and development of scalable, high performance backend systems. The role requires strong expertise in backend architecture, API design, and data management, along with the ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to system level decision making in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own backend services and APIs using Golang, Java, or Python
• Lead the implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure microservices architectures
• Translate business and nonfunctional requirements into robust technical designs
• Drive database design, optimization, and performance tuning across SQL and NoSQL systems
• Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, cloud, and architecture teams
• Conduct code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and ensure high code quality
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to technical upskilling of the team
• Participate in production support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8 12 years of backend development experience with strong proficiency in Golang, Java, or Python
  Proven experience designing and building enterprise grade RESTful APIs and microservices
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and system performance
• Hands on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Experience working in cloud native and containerized environments
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in high scale or mission critical enterprise platforms
• Exposure to event driven architectures, messaging systems, or streaming platforms
• Prior experience in technical leadership, solution design, or architecture reviews
