Your role The CNC Machinist programs, sets up, and operates Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components. Key duties include part inspection, machine maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration in a safety-focused, team-driven environment. You will report to the Machining Manager.
You will
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to program machine tool paths based on provided 3D models
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision components to specifications
Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
Select and install suitable cutting tools to meet drawing tolerances
Perform offset and speed/feed adjustments, tool changes, and program edits at the machine control
Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized
Monitor tooling stock levels and follow replenishment procedures
Collaborate with team members such as manufacturing engineering, quality, planning, and production staff
Support implementation of new products, tooling, techniques and processes
Foster a team-based learning environment for yourself and others
Promote a safe work area carrying out regular housekeeping duties as necessary

- Minimum 5 years' experience in machining.
- Utilize CAD/CAM to write programs.
Set up and operate vertical and horizontal CNC machines
Set up and operate manual lathe, grinders, and saw.
Read and interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T.
Set, use, and read precision layout and measuring instruments.
Use and understand Microsoft suite - EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):
- Lift and position parts weighing up to approximately no more than 50 pounds periodically.
- Grip, push and pull carts loaded with parts.
- Standing up for duration of the shift
