Summary

3 or more years of experience in network engineering, secure infrastructure implementation, or technical network support.

Proficiency in enterprise firewall administration, routing and switching protocols, and ruleset policy analysis.

Experience with intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and SIEM platforms such as Splunk or QRadar.

Experience in vulnerability scanning and assessment tools including Nessus or Qualys.

Experience with network telemetry log analysis across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments (Azure or AWS).

Experience in regulatory cybersecurity standards including NIST, FISMA, and HIPAA, supported by a CCNA or PCNSE.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Investigate and remediate automated network security alerts and telemetry anomalies within the operations center.

Review and evaluate firewall rule modification requests, website access exceptions, and port protocol policies.

Conduct network security assessments on proposed infrastructure changes across on-premises and cloud environments.

Monitor and correlate network traffic events using enterprise SIEM platforms and IDS/IPS sensors.

Execute vulnerability assessments and collaborate with systems engineering teams to prioritize remediation patching.

Audit enterprise firewall configurations and participate in periodic security policy recertifications.

Generate technical trend reports, key performance metrics, and countermeasure recommendations for emerging threats.
