Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Product Stewardship Specialist to support Client's Packaging & Specialty Plastics (P&SP) – Univation business in North America.
This is a hybrid role combining Product Stewardship, Regulatory Compliance, and Supply Chain coordination. The ideal candidate will ensure that chemical products meet safety, regulatory, and logistics compliance requirements while supporting business growth.
The role partners closely with R&D, EHS, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, and Legal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Stewardship & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure chemical regulatory compliance for products in North America
- Apply Product Stewardship and EHS&S processes to support safe and compliant products
- Maintain compliance with US EPA TSCA, CEPA (Canada), and related regulations
- Review raw materials and formulations for regulatory compliance and registration needs
- Conduct Business Risk Reviews (BRRs) and support Management of Change (MOC) activities
- Review and approve product literature for appropriate EHS&S content
- Respond to customer EHS inquiries and support incident investigations
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impact
Cross-Functional & Business Support
- Partner with R&D on new products and technologies
- Support business growth while managing regulatory and safety risks
- Provide training on product stewardship, regulatory compliance, and safe handling
- Participate in advocacy and industry initiatives related to safer materials
Supply Chain & SAP Activities
- Manage key raw material supply and inventory across multiple sites
- Coordinate intercompany material movements and receipts
- Track shipments, resolve logistics issues, and escalate carrier problems
- Create and manage SAP documents for material movements and goods receipts
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, EH&S, or related discipline
(Chemical Engineering with stewardship experience is acceptable)
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in:
- Product Stewardship
- Product Regulatory / Chemical Compliance
- EHS&S roles within chemical or petrochemical industries
- Industry experience in:
- Chemical / Petrochemical
- Plastics / Polymers
- Refining or Catalyst Manufacturing
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of US EPA TSCA and CEPA
- Experience reviewing chemical formulations and raw materials
- Familiarity with SAP (inventory, logistics, or material movements)
- Understanding of supply chain and product movement compliance
