Your primary responsibilities are to:

  • Leverage hybrid and multi-cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or DoD-specific cloud environments such as GovCloud or milCloud).
  • Employ technologies such as cross-domain solutions (CDS), security enclaves, and Zero Trust Architecture principles.
  • Lead the integration of MLS architectures into operational systems by defining interfaces and ensuring compatibility across hardware, software, and network domains.
  • Work alongside system engineers, network administrators, and software developers to enable seamless cloud adoption while meeting mission requirements.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and leverage available tools, processes, and forums to proactively facilitate requirements development, implementation, and sustainment of information technology (IT) capabilities supporting OUSD(R&E) MC personnel.
  • Assist in technology concept development; modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A); and IT infrastructure activities necessary to support the advancement of warfighter capability development.
  • Contribute to the integration of advanced modeling and simulation (M&S) capabilities to assess future concepts, test operational hypothesis, and inform Joint CONOPS integration.
  • Assist in the execution of administrative functions such as budgeting, project management, contracting, and other complementary activities, ensuring OUSD(R&E) MC IT initiatives contribute to OUSD(R&E) MC mission success.
  • Assist in the development of work products supporting inquiries from US Congressional representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF (Risk Management Framework), DISA STIGs, and NIST 800-53 requirements.
  • Develop migration strategies for transitioning legacy systems and data into MLS-compliant cloud environments.
  • Create technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, implementation guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Generate regular progress reports and metrics for program leadership and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for cloud infrastructure, MLS systems, and cybersecurity enhancements.
  • Recommend innovative solutions to strengthen mission readiness and optimize lifecycle management in the cloud environment.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Exposure to MS&A processes, workflows, designs of experiment, execution plans, and results reporting associated with Joint, all-domain warfighting concepts, such as kill chain operations, platform and system models, scenario generation and execution, trade studies, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Previous experience with IT at various classification levels (SAP-level is desired).
  • Working knowledge and understanding of current DoD IT Policy and Directives.
  • Experience establishing and leading cross-functional stakeholder teams, particularly teams consisting of cybersecurity, software development, operational research (OR), and business operations personnel.
  • Experience with advanced computing solutions such as high-performance computing (HPC), cloud computing, and similar distributed computing architectures.
  • Experience performing duties in highly classified environments, respecting the challenges and opportunities offered by such environments.
  • Familiarity with computing system infrastructure implementations, including data centers, networks, help desk support operations, and commercial vendor relations.
  • Experience planning and executing systems analysis efforts for the DoD and/or IC.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop high-quality, professional briefings and written reports to succinctly capture key issues for DoD decision-makers.
  • Self-starter, able to take initiative and accomplish work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • 3 years' prior experience for access to Special Access Program Information (SAP), or Controlled Access Program (CAP); must have 1 year in the last 5 years.

Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) eligibility.
