OverviewThis is a lead role on live client engagements. You will typically own a primary build while contributing across several additional client and internal initiatives, from discovery through production, and you will build the solution yourself. Our clients range from mid-market businesses to Fortune-scale enterprises.
What we are really looking forYou can ship a production LLM application on your own, integrate it with the client's systems, and sit on the client call and explain what you built, what it does, and what it takes to run it. Prompt engineering, retrieval, agentic workflows, and evaluation need to be things you have run in production and measured, not just read about.
You have deployed and operated applications inside client-owned Azure environments and understand the networking, security, and infrastructure constraints that come with enterprise deployments.
The integration work is usually the hard part. Our engagements land on systems such as Salesforce, SharePoint, Snowflake, HubSpot, and Procore, and the AI layer is only ever as good as the plumbing underneath it.
**Please note:- This is an immediate project need. Candidates should be readily available to interview and able to onboard promptly once selected
- This contract is approved through December 2026, with potential to extend based on performance and ongoing project/client demand
Responsibilities- Own delivery on assigned workstreams, including scope, release timing, and the day-to-day client relationship
- Lead discovery sessions and translate business needs into prioritized use cases, build-hour estimates, and run-cost projections
- Build and ship production LLM applications, typically Next.js full stack with the Vercel AI SDK, or Python services
- Implement context engineering: retrieval, hybrid and agentic search, prompt caching, tool use, and MCP where it fits
- Build and maintain eval harnesses, define the accuracy metrics that reflect the client's actual workflow, and report movement on them
- Help establish O3XO's approach to LLM evaluation, monitoring, and tracing across engagements
- Integrate client systems of record, including Salesforce, SharePoint, Snowflake, HubSpot, Procore, and other enterprise platforms
- Deploy and operate on Vercel and Azure, including client-owned Azure tenants, autoscaling, deployment slots, networking, private endpoints, error monitoring, and monthly infrastructure and token cost reporting
- Run client calls and demos unaccompanied, write architecture and decision documents, and publish your own recaps with owners and next steps
- Handle client data in accordance with enterprise security standards and relevant privacy regulations
Requirements- 5+ years building and deploying production software, with demonstrated experience shipping and operating production LLM-powered applications that real users depend on for business workflows
- Ability to explain how an LLM application's performance was measured and monitored, and what you changed when accuracy or quality regressed; prototypes and pilots alone do not count
- Demonstrated ability to lead a client engagement and communicate technical tradeoffs to non-technical executives
- AI: Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, agent frameworks, MCP, prompt caching, evaluation design
- Programming: TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, SQL
- Frontend: Next.js, React; you should be comfortable building production web applications, but this is not a frontend-focused role
- Cloud: production deployment and operations on Azure, including experience deploying applications inside client-owned Azure tenants and working with enterprise networking and private endpoints
- Data: SQL databases plus vector and hybrid search (Supabase, Postgres, Azure AI Search, pgvector, Pinecone, Chroma)
- Integration: at least one enterprise system of record at depth, with production experience navigating OAuth, API limits, permissions, and complex data models. Salesforce, SharePoint, Snowflake, HubSpot, or Procore all count as relevant experience
- Excellent written and spoken English, and comfort being the only O3XO person on a client call
- Meaningful overlap with US Eastern business hours
Nice to have- Hands-on fluency with agent development tooling
- Monitoring and tracing for production LLM systems
- CI/CD and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK, Bicep)
- Microsoft Copilot Studio and the Power Platform
- Salesforce development, including Apex and Lightning Web Components
- Snowflake, including Snowpark Container Services
- CMS or platform experience
- Document AI and OCR pipelines
- ML model experience
- Data privacy and compliance experience (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
