We are seeking an experienced VMware to Hyper-V Migration Engineer with strong expertise in Zerto for disaster recovery, replication, and migration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and executing seamless migrations from VMware environments to Microsoft Hyper-V, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities
1. Migration Planning & Execution
• Assess existing VMware vSphere environments, including vCenter, ESXi hosts, networking, and storage.
• Design and implement migration strategies to Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Perform Physical-to-Virtual (P2V) and Virtual-to-Virtual (V2V) migrations.
• Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during migration.
2. Zerto Installation & Deployment
• Install and configure Zerto for replication and disaster recovery.
• Deploy and configure Zerto Virtual Manager (ZVM) and Virtual Replication Appliances (VRAs).
• Set up Virtual Protection Groups (VPGs) and replication policies.
• Perform failover, failback, and migration testing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot replication performance and issues.
3. Hyper-V Environment Setup
• Install and configure Microsoft Hyper-V hosts and clusters.
• Configure Failover Clustering, Live Migration, and Hyper-V Replica.
• Integrate Hyper-V with System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM).
• Configure networking (vSwitches, VLANs) and storage (SAN/NAS, SMB 3.0).
4. VMware Environment Management
• Administer VMware vSphere including vCenter and ESXi hosts.
• Perform pre-migration assessments and capacity planning.
• Decommission VMware components post-migration.
5. Testing & Validation
• Conduct disaster recovery drills and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Validate application functionality after migration.
• Ensure compliance with RPO (Recovery Point Objective) and RTO (Recovery Time Objective) requirements.
6. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
• Create detailed migration runbooks, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide knowledge transfer sessions to operations teams.
• Maintain migration and DR documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
• Strong experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server Failover Clustering.
• Proven experience installing and configuring Zerto for migration and disaster recovery.
• Experience with SCVMM (System Center Virtual Machine Manager).
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and SMB 3.0.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Experience with Active Directory and Windows Server administration.

• Familiarity with cloud migrations (Azure/AWS).
