Electrical Engineer (Mid-Level) to support our ongoing mission with the 647 Civil Engineering Squadron (CES) at
Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
The Electrical Engineer will manage electrical infrastructure inputs to installation Activity Management Plans (AMPs), with emphasis on electrical distribution, power generation, lighting, energy resilience, and lifecycle planning. This position will use condition and asset data to identify risks, prioritize recapitalization needs, and coordinate electrical requirements with other engineering disciplines.
What You'll Do:- Lead electrical distribution and power generation components of the Utilities AMP using Utilities Sustainment Management System data.
- Assess electrical system conditions within facilities using BUILDER SMS and develop lifecycle maintenance and replacement inputs for the Facilities AMP.
- Incorporate Installation Energy Plan goals into AMP planning and identify energy resilience, backup power, and survivability priorities.
- Coordinate electrical infrastructure planning with mechanical and civil disciplines to support integrated utility corridor management and project development.
- Conduct required physical inventories and compliance inspections of installation facilities, plants, systems, real property installed equipment, occupants, and facility footprints.
What You Bring:Required:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution within the United States.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience, including at least 3 years of military facility/infrastructure experience.
- Experience supporting electrical infrastructure, facility systems, lifecycle planning, or related engineering requirements.
- Ability to assess electrical system conditions and translate findings into maintenance, replacement, and project requirements.
- Must be able to successfully complete the required Tier 1 background investigation and obtain/maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Preferred:- Experience with Air Force engineering systems and tools such as Utilities Sustainment Management Systems, BUILDER SMS, or related asset-management platforms.
