Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Oakland, CA that is seeking a Business Analyst for a contract role. The duration of this position is 6 months to start with extensions/conversion. This role is hybrid, 1-3 times in office per week, once a week in Concord, CA. The ideal BA will have a strong data and analytics background and will develop new reporting to support PMs, PCAs, and a Program Manager who work with the CPUC.

Duties/Day to Day Overview:
* Provides project analysis, executes work plans and task definition, participates in data collection
* Has a solid foundation of understanding or analysis of client business practices and goals; Develops and formulates solutions to client problems on assigned projects
* Responsible for the creation of work plans and task definition
* Works with minimal supervision and has broad technical knowledge
* Can also specialize in specific areas of expertise
* Performs analysis on complex data models requiring customized reports and data
* Develops new or revises existing data analysis to predict business outcomes selecting from various complex variables
* Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations; Presents findings and recommendations to leaders
* Manages small to mid-size projects

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong Excel, Power BI, Power Apps development, SharePoint, Unifier, data and analytics, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis skills
* Construction experience is also preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
