Summary
- Create, update and manage project schedule using Microsoft Project or other client-approved software.
- Control and manage project scope, budget, activities and expectations to ensure profitability of RedMane projects.
- Regularly track, report and analyze project status, including scheduling and conducting regular status meetings, and creating client-facing status reports.
- Create and manage Risk, Change and Issues registers for the project.
- Plan, schedule and manage project activities with clients.
- Regularly manage, interact, and collaborate with RedMane project team members.
- Facilitate discussions and resolution of project-related issues and blockers, if they arise.
- Escalate issues to management and client stakeholders, if necessary.
- Create monthly reports and forecasts to RedMane executive management of project status, schedule, milestones and budget.
- Facilitate, schedule and plan Executive Steering Committee meetings for projects including creation of presentations and other material to communicate project progress effectively.
- 7 years of project management experience with increasing scope of responsibility.
- Experience in crafting project proposals, developing work estimates and project schedules.
- Experience in project planning and control of multi-year and multi-phase projects.
- Experience tracking, managing and escalating issues through to resolution.
- Experience with the identification and mitigation of project risk.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of internal and client staff and management.
- Ability to effectively communicate and articulate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Proficiency with tools that facilitate and promote team interaction and collaboration (e.g., Skype for Business, WebEx, Basecamp, SharePoint).
- Strong interpersonal and management skills with an excellent attention to detail.
- Experience managing projects involving data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and IoT is a plus, but not required.

- PMP certification is a plus, but not required.

We have developed a proven, tested methodology that has been successfully used and refined on many projects. We have found from experience that most consulting companies either have no methodology at all or have a methodology that is so pervasive and cumbersome that the methodology drives the project, rather than the methodology being used to successfully implement the project.
Companies that do not have a defined methodology tend to create systems whose progress is impossible to monitor and which are very hard to maintain since they are basically thrown together as quickly as possible.
Companies that emphasize an "all-encompassing" methodology seem to suffer from "analysis paralysis" where recording the requirements and having all i's dotted and T's crossed is more important than arriving at creative technical solutions to the business requirements. The methodology, therefore, becomes a straitjacket that confines the project rather than a technique to control the project.
Unlike these two extremes, our methodology is flexible in that it provides a set of guidelines that are conducive to completing a successful project. A RedMane project director picks and chooses the components from our methodology (based on the project type and complexity) which will guarantee the success of the project.
