Role: Java Platform Architect / Spring Integration Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Java Platform Architect / Spring Integration Architect to own and evolve a mission-critical enterprise integration platform supporting multiple business applications. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on architect with strong expertise in Java, Spring Integration, distributed systems, Kafka, AWS, cloud-native platforms, and enterprise integration architecture.

The role will focus on platform modernization, reusable framework development, scalability, resiliency, observability, DevSecOps, and technical leadership across multiple engineering teams. Experience applying Generative AI and intelligent automation to enterprise platforms is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the architecture, roadmap, modernization, and continuous improvement of a shared Java/Spring-based Poller and Integration Framework.
• Design and develop reusable frameworks, libraries, SDKs, platform components, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Provide hands-on architecture and technical leadership across multiple development teams; conduct design reviews and establish engineering standards.
• Design scalable integration solutions using Spring Integration, Spring Boot, REST, Apache Kafka, JMS/RabbitMQ, schedulers, polling, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
• Address complex distributed-system challenges including performance, concurrency, resiliency, fault tolerance, scalability, routing, transformation, orchestration, retries, and error handling.
• Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Drive Docker/Podman, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Terraform/CloudFormation, observability, and distributed tracing using technologies such as OpenTelemetry, Micrometer, Dynatrace, Splunk, or Datadog.
• Guide Kafka architecture, including Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, stream processing, event governance, schemas, and enterprise event-driven patterns.
• Evaluate and integrate Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, semantic search, AI agents, and intelligent automation using platforms such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, or Anthropic, with technologies such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or LlamaIndex.
• Support MySQL/database architecture, data modeling, indexing, query optimization, transactions, and data consistency.
• Mentor architects and senior engineers while driving architecture governance, engineering excellence, developer productivity, and technology modernization.

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years of software engineering experience and 7+ years in architecture, technical leadership, or platform engineering.
• Expert-level Java 11+ experience; Java 21 preferred, including concurrency, multithreading, JVM tuning, performance optimization, OOP, and design patterns.
• Expert Spring Integration experience with strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Core, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Actuator, and Spring Cloud; Spring Batch/WebFlux preferred.
• Strong enterprise integration, distributed systems, microservices, EIP, REST, Kafka, messaging, and event-driven architecture experience.
• Strong AWS and cloud-native architecture experience.
• Hands-on experience with containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and observability.
• Experience building or owning enterprise frameworks, shared platforms, SDKs, or reusable integration solutions.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and relational database performance.
• Excellent architecture, communication, problem-solving, mentoring, and cross-team leadership skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with DDD, CQRS, Event Sourcing, Hexagonal/Clean Architecture, and Internal Developer Platforms (IDP).
• Advanced Kafka platform and event governance experience.
• Enterprise GenAI/RAG, vector databases, AI agents, semantic search, AI security/governance, and responsible AI experience.
• Experience integrating AI services such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, or Anthropic Claude.
