About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with hands-on expertise in the FIS AddVantage platform to support Wealth and Trust Management operations. The ideal candidate will have strong domain knowledge of trust accounting, wealth management workflows, and demonstrated experience across the full AddVantage product lifecycle β including conversions/deconversions, system configuration, enhancements, and change request management. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technology teams, and FIS support/vendor teams to ensure the platform meets evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Conversion / Deconversion
- Lead and support client/book-of-business conversions and deconversions on/off the FIS AddVantage platform, including data mapping, gap analysis, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with source and target system teams to define data conversion rules, mapping templates, and validation criteria.
- Develop and execute test plans for conversion cycles (mock conversions, parallel testing, dress rehearsals) and manage defect triage.
- Document conversion runbooks, cutover plans, rollback strategies, and post-conversion sign-off procedures.
Configuration
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into AddVantage system configuration specifications (account types, fee schedules, product codes, tax lot rules, statement/reporting parameters, workflow rules, etc.).
- Configure and maintain platform parameters in line with trust and wealth management business rules and regulatory requirements.
- Perform configuration impact analysis prior to implementing changes in production environments.
Enhancements
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for platform enhancements from Wealth/Trust operations, Compliance, and Relationship Management teams.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), and user stories for enhancement initiatives.
- Partner with FIS product teams and internal IT to prioritize, scope, and validate enhancement requests.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for enhancement releases, including test case creation and defect management.
Change Request (CR) Management
- Own the end-to-end change request lifecycle β intake, impact assessment, prioritization, approval, implementation tracking, and closure.
- Liaise with FIS vendor teams for CR submission, status tracking, and resolution.
- Maintain CR logs, traceability matrices, and audit documentation in line with governance and compliance standards.
- Support change advisory board (CAB) discussions and release management activities.
General / Cross-Functional
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for FIS AddVantage functionality within the Wealth and Trust Management domain.
- Collaborate with QA, technology, and operations teams to ensure smooth SDLC delivery (Agile/Waterfall as applicable).
- Support production issue triage and root-cause analysis related to AddVantage functionality.
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements relevant to trust and fiduciary business.
- Prepare status reports, dashboards, and stakeholder communications.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10β15 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting FIS AddVantage (or equivalent trust/wealth accounting platforms).
- Proven experience in at least two of the following: conversions/deconversions, configuration, enhancements, change request management.
- Strong functional knowledge of Wealth Management and Trust Management domains β trust accounting, fiduciary operations, account administration, fee billing, tax processing, and reporting.
- Experience writing BRDs, FSDs, user stories, and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall).
- Strong data analysis skills β mapping, reconciliation, and validation, particularly for conversion projects.
- Experience with SQL for data analysis/validation (preferred).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience coordinating with FIS vendor support teams for issue resolution and CR delivery.
Preferred / Good to Have
- Prior experience with core banking or trust platforms beyond AddVantage (e.g., TrustDesk, Charlotte, GWP, or similar).
- Knowledge of regulatory/compliance frameworks applicable to trust and fiduciary businesses (e.g., OCC regulations, SOX, SOC1/SOC2).
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools for requirement and CR tracking.
- Exposure to test management tools (HP ALM, qTest, Zephyr, etc.).
- Prior experience in banking, asset management, or private wealth firms.
