Job Description

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer / Lead with strong hands-on experience in Playwright automation for web applications, along with solid expertise in test automation, API testing, test design, execution, and defect management. The ideal candidate should be comfortable developing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks and working in an Agile environment.

Required Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience in Playwright automation framework

Strong experience in test automation for web applications

Experience designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright

Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, test strategy, test design, and execution

Solid experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar

Strong understanding of defect management, root-cause analysis, and defect lifecycle

Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for developing automation scripts

Experience with Git and maintaining automation code in source-control repositories

Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders

Good to Have

Experience with mobile application testing using Appium, XCUITest, or similar frameworks

Experience with iOS testing and mobile automation

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies

Basic understanding of performance testing and security testing concepts

Experience with cross-browser testing and test execution across different environments

Experience building or enhancing scalable and maintainable automation frameworks

Familiarity with cloud-based test execution platforms and distributed test environments

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust Playwright-based automation frameworks and test suites.

Automate functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end test scenarios

Analyze requirements and create effective test scenarios and automation strategies

Execute automated and manual tests as required and identify, document, and track defects

Develop and execute API automation and validation

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing

Collaborate closely with development and product teams to identify and resolve quality issues

Review automation code and ensure adherence to coding and testing best practices

Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and relevant QA artifacts

Support continuous improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and testing efficiency
