Job Title: Lead Low Voltage Technician - Data CenterJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Lead Low Voltage Technician to help build and lead a data center team. This role will play a key part in establishing and supporting ongoing data center operations in the area.
The position is primarily hands-on, with approximately 80% of the work performed in the field alongside technicians and 20% focused on administrative and coordination tasks. The Lead Technician will support fiber installation efforts, manage technicians on site, and assist the Superintendent with daily operations.
Administrative responsibilities include communicating with customers, managing manpower, tracking materials, and completing data entry related to site activities using spreadsheets and other tools. This role requires a strong technical understanding in low-voltage systems combined with leadership and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support technicians on data center projects
- Pull, dress, and manage fiber cabling inside the facility
- Perform hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and cabling work
- Coordinate daily manpower and support the Superintendent on site
- Communicate with customers and project stakeholders
- Track materials, labor, and site data through spreadsheets and data entry
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
Required Skills- Low-voltage installation and troubleshooting
- Fiber cabling (pulling, dressing, and management)
- Cat6 cabling and structured cabling systems
- Customer service and communication
- Leadership and site management skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite, Excel, spreadsheets, data entry)
Qualifications- Previous low-voltage experience required
- Fiber experience required
- Prior lead or management experience overseeing technicians or job sites
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeport, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
