Job Title: SAP Functional Analyst - Senior
Location: Atlanta, GA
Role Overview
The SAP Functional Analyst - Senior will support the suite of SAP products and be responsible for the design, implementation, testing, and enhancement of SAP functionality while providing operational support for business-critical applications. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project members to deliver scalable SAP solutions and support enterprise initiatives.
This position is primarily focused on business liaison, project implementation, customer interaction, and functional leadership. Production support responsibilities are limited, as a dedicated production support team handles day-to-day operational issues.
Candidates with SAP S/4HANA implementation experience are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and test new SAP functionality and enhancements.

Provide functional expertise for SAP configuration based on business requirements.

Support project implementations and system enhancements.

Collaborate with business users to gather, analyze, and document requirements.

Write detailed functional specifications and coordinate development with technical teams.
-
Assist with testing, validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
-
Support multiple SAP business processes with varying complexity.
-
Analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate SAP solutions.

Assist with feasibility studies for new initiatives and enhancement requests.
-
Coordinate issue resolution with functional and technical teams.
-
Maintain functional documentation and knowledge repositories.
-
Develop user test cases and validate testing results.
-
Assist in preparing user documentation and conducting user training.
-
Monitor customer satisfaction and analyze support metrics.

Participate in project status reporting.

Mentor junior team members and provide functional guidance.

Support planned releases, emergency fixes, and production activities as needed.

Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.

Experience leading or participating in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.

Strong business process analysis and requirements gathering skills.

Experience writing functional specifications and coordinating with ABAP/development teams.

Experience supporting testing activities including UAT.

Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.

Ability to work closely with business users and cross-functional teams.

Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
