A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Sr QA Engineer
 
Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: Remote
 
As a Sr QA Engineer you will:
 
  • Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Test, analyze for defects, and support equivalent browser-based products.
  • Deliver production quality software on time and within budget.
  • Design detailed, comprehensive test approaches and produce test plans, test scripts, and high-quality release documentation.
  • Participate in stakeholder/owner / development reviews.
  • Proactively seek ways to improve user experience, application functionality, and testing practices and standards in coordination with the Development Team.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to other team members in their daily activities and QA duties.
  • Use internal systems and procedures to track and report work progress and time spent on task.
  • Compose automated testing scripts and maintenance of scripts to be used release to release to ensure product functionality.
  • Any other reasonable or necessary duties assigned by management.

The ideal candidate will have: The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in testing the migration of Mainframe jobs to Java and Linux-based applications, with a minimum of 10 years of QA/QE expertise. Additionally, proficiency in developing reports based on comparisons conducted during migration process testing is highly desirable.
 
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Must have experience in testing of migration of Mainframe Jobs to Java and Linux based applications.
  • Building reports based on comparison during the migration process testing.
  • Good understanding of mainframe (TSO), COBOL, Java, JCL and Bash Scripts on Linux
  • Experience working with DB2
  • At least 10 years of QA/QE experience with at least 5+ years of relevant experience as stated above
  • Good Knowledge of AWS, PostgreSQL
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $60-$70 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate''s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
