Responsibilities- Clinical Data Architecture & Governance: Lead the technical data strategy for the Dell Children's Heart Center, overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of high-stakes clinical datasets including IMPACT Clinic and Pulmonary Hypertension registries.
- Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineering: Design and implement scalable, high-performance data solutions within Google Cloud Platform, leveraging Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery to automate data ingestion and transformation for complex healthcare workflows.
- Advanced Analytics & Visualization: Architect and deliver sophisticated Tableau dashboards and REDCap survey instruments (e.g., Psychosocial Survey Measures) to provide real-time, actionable insights for Cardiology Quality Assurance and Annual Outcomes reporting.
- Full-Stack Data Integration: Direct the integration of disparate clinical data sources using Informatica Data Quality and SQL, ensuring rigorous data modeling and warehouse integrity to support the Heart Center Patient Identifier and referral systems.
- Technical Project Orchestration: Act as the primary technical lead for multi-phase data initiatives, providing high-fidelity work estimates, managing senior-level stakeholder communications, and navigating the regulatory complexities of protected health information (PHI).
RequirementsEducation:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'
degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences- DevOps & Version Control: Proficiency in managing collaborative codebases and deployment pipelines using GitHub to ensure reproducible data engineering practices.
- Master Data Management (MDM): Practical experience in MDM frameworks and data governance to maintain "single source of truth" integrity across distributed pediatric specialty systems.
- Strategic Optimization: Ability to audit existing data infrastructure and advise leadership on migrating legacy workflows toward modern open-source database patterns and optimized cloud spend.
