Messagepoint Developer – Healthcare Payer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Messagepoint Developer with hands-on experience in the Messagepoint platform and healthcare payer communications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining personalized member communications across print and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain Messagepoint templates, reusable content, variations, and workflows.

• Create and update member communications related to enrollment, benefits, claims, billing, coverage, and plan changes.

• Implement business rules and personalization using member data.

• Integrate Messagepoint with enterprise applications using REST APIs and available connectors.

• Collaborate with business, operations, compliance, and technology teams to gather requirements.

• Support delivery of letters, statements, emails, and other member communications.

• Perform unit, integration, and regression testing and troubleshoot production issues.

• Maintain technical documentation and follow healthcare privacy, security, and change-control standards.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with the Messagepoint platform.

• Experience with Customer Communications Management (CCM), document composition, or content management platforms.

• Knowledge of templates, reusable content, personalization, business rules, and data-driven communications.

• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and XML.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare payer or health insurance industry experience.

• Knowledge of member enrollment, benefits, claims, Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and billing communications.

• Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare privacy and regulatory requirements.

• Experience with SQL, JavaScript, or scripting for integrations and data validation.
