Job Description

We are seeking a Data Scientist Contractor to join our dynamic team supporting a Deloitte project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, SQL, applied statistics, and data visualization and a proven ability to deliver clear, actionable insights and build machine learning solutions that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.


• Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems.


• Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver analytical solutions.


• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.


• Translate complex analysis into concise narratives and recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling.


• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau for dashboarding and presentations.


• Knowledge of applied statistical and machine learning techniques.


• Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and operationally.


• Proven ability to influence without authority and partner with cross-functional stakeholders.


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex analysis into simple narratives.


• Background in consulting or a customer-facing, fast-paced analytical environment.


• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or Applied Social Sciences.


• Experience level: 10+ years in analytics and strategy roles.

Preferred Skills:

• 15+ years in analytics and strategy, preferably in payments or fintech.


• Experience leading organization-wide strategic initiatives or transformative analytics projects.


• Master's degree in a related quantitative or social science field.
