Our Fortune 500 client is looking for a Database Administrator to work on their project based out of Tallahassee, FL/Onsite.

Job Title: Database Administrator

Location: Tallahassee, FL/Onsite

Duration: 2+ years

Job Description:

The DBA team is responsible for ensuring the application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schemas meet the department standards for data requirements and GIS Services. The candidate in this position will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, amendments and optimization of the schema to meet system(s) requirements. The candidate must be able to understand and demonstrate the ability to develop database and warehousing design across multiple platforms and computing environments.

This resource will primarily be tasked with performing Database (SQL Server, Oracle, GIS) planning and operational activities

Daily operational and database administration activities
Plan, design, implement, support for database structures
Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning
Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation
Perform SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL Code reviews
Assist with training/mentoring other technical staff This resource may also be required to perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested

Required Experience:

Must have experience with GIS and spatial databases (specifically PostgreSQL and Oracle)
Must have experience SQL Server 2012 and above
Must have experience Oracle 19c and above
Experience with managing ArcGIS for Server, ArcGIS Enterprise, and cloud-hosted GIS services (e.g., ArcGIS Online, Azure GIS integrations).
Experience with Azure SQL is a plus

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
