Summary

Audubon is currently seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team in our Houston, Texas Office. The Systems Administrator will support the platforms, users, and project systems that enable GIS, field data collection, ROW mapping, documentation, and project delivery of workflows. This role will help ensure that GIS and field operations systems are properly maintained, accessible, organized, and functioning efficiently for project teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support GIS and field technology systems used by project teams, including Field Maps, web maps, and field application setup.
Assist with user administration, permissions, access requests, and account organization across GIS and project systems.
Support ArcGIS Online and/or ArcGIS Enterprise Portal project handling, including project-specific GIS resources, users, groups, maps, layers, and services.
Help manage project SharePoint structures, folders, permissions, documentation workflows, and related collaboration platforms.
Support server file organization, project documentation services, and related data storage processes.
Troubleshoot access, publishing, file organization, field workflow, and project system issues.
Maintain organized records of systems, users, files, services, documentation structures, and project configurations.
Coordinate with GIS staff, field teams, and project managers to ensure systems, documentation, and field tools are ready for project use.
Support documentation standards and process improvements related to GIS systems, field data collection, ROW mapping, and project delivery.
Assist with long-term development of project technology workflows, including opportunities to grow into GIS analyst, systems analyst, or project technology analyst responsibilities.

Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in systems administration, technical support, GIS systems support, project technology support, or a related field.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in information systems, GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience with user administration, permissions, file management, documentation systems, and project collaboration platforms.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, or similar collaboration and document management tools.
Familiarity with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, Field Maps, or other Esri tools preferred.
Experience supporting field data collection workflows, project SharePoint sites, server file structures, permissions, or document control preferred.
Basic understanding of GIS data, maps, layers, users, groups, services, and publishing workflows preferred.
Experience in utility, ROW, engineering, environmental, infrastructure, or project delivery environments preferred.
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to manage multiple requests across users, projects, and systems while maintaining accurate records and consistent processes.
Self-motivated, team-oriented, adaptable, and willing to learn GIS platforms, Field Maps, Portal, and project-specific workflows.
Technical or professional licensing/certification is not required; Esri, Microsoft, SharePoint, IT support, or GIS-related training/certifications are preferred.
