Job Description: Role Overview: We are seeking a mid-level DevOps Engineer with strong Azure Cloud experience to join the FinOps team. This role focuses on cloud financial management, cost optimization, governance, and operational efficiency across Azure environments. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded cloud professional who understands FinOps principles and can quickly adapt to tools such as Cloudability (prior hands-on expertise not mandatory).
Key Responsibilities
Drive Azure cloud cost optimization initiatives (rightsizing, reservations, savings plans, storage lifecycle optimization).
Ensure cost visibility through tagging governance, cost allocation models, and reporting frameworks
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for Azure subscriptions
Implement governance controls to improve financial accountability across workloads
Automate cloud operations and cost controls using DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Partner with engineering and finance stakeholders to enable showback/chargeback and cost transparency
Continuously improve cloud financial management practices and operational efficiency
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, subscriptions, RBAC).
Solid understanding of Azure Cost Management and cloud governance
Good understanding of FinOps principles (cost allocation, forecasting, optimization, showback/chargeback)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
In addition to Azure, Google Cloud Platform experience is a plus but not mandatory
Good to Have
Exposure to Cloudability or similar FinOps tools (not mandatory)
Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400 or equivalent)
(Optional) Google Cloud Platform certifications
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms
