Overview
IBSS Corporation is seeking visionary leaders and industry experts to join our Advisory Board in support of our strategic expansion into the Space Weather and Satellite Systems sector.
As a Strategic Industry Advisor, you will provide executive-level guidance, market intelligence, and strategic insight to help position IBSS as a trusted partner supporting operational space weather missions, satellite operations, environmental intelligence, cybersecurity, and cloud-enabled mission systems.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Space Weather, aerospace, satellite systems, environmental intelligence, or federal mission operations, combined with strong strategic and commercial experience.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Market Positioning

  • Advise IBSS leadership on emerging trends, mission priorities, and market opportunities within:
    • Space Weather operations
    • Satellite systems
    • Environmental intelligence
    • Aerospace mission support
    • Critical infrastructure resilience
  • Provide strategic guidance on positioning IBSS capabilities in:
    • AI-driven analytics
    • Mission operations support
    • Cybersecurity
    • Cloud modernization
    • Data engineering and observability
  • Identify partnership and growth opportunities across:
    • NOAA
    • NASA
    • Air Force
    • FAA
    • Commercial satellite operators
    • Research institutions


Business Development & Industry Engagement

  • Facilitate introductions to key stakeholders, strategic partners, and decision-makers within government and commercial sectors.
  • Support capture and growth strategies for Space Weather and satellite-related opportunities in both federal and commercial sectors.
  • Enhance IBSS''s visibility and credibility within the Space Weather and aerospace communities.
  • Represent IBSS as a strategic ambassador at industry events, workshops, and advisory engagements.


Technical & Operational Advisory

  • Provide insight into operational challenges and modernization opportunities related to:
    • Space Weather monitoring and forecasting
    • Mission systems integration
    • Satellite operations
    • Data dissemination platforms
    • Operational resilience
  • Review and advise on strategic initiatives involving:
    • Cloud infrastructure
    • Cybersecurity compliance
    • AI/ML-enabled analytics
    • Environmental data operations
    • Enterprise IT modernization


Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Experience: Senior leadership or technical expertise in one or more of the following: Space Weather, Aerospace, Satellite operations, Environmental intelligence, Federal scientific mission support
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal agencies and mission environments such as NOAA SWPC, NASA, USAF, FAA, Commercial space organizations
  • Strategic & Commercial Expertise: Demonstrated success supporting growth initiatives, mission modernization, or technical program expansion within highly regulated or mission-critical environments.
  • Connectivity: Established professional network within government, research, or commercial aerospace communities.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical and scientific concepts into strategic business opportunities and operational value.
  • Commitment: Ability to participate in quarterly advisory meetings and other ad-hoc meetings to provide periodic strategic guidance and introductions.
