We are seeking an experienced Network Management Systems (NMS) Architect to design, guide, and evolve modern, scalable network management and telemetry platforms. This role is ideal for someone with deep protocol-level expertise who also understands how NMS fits into broader OSS/BSS ecosystems.
You will work closely with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to define architecture, standards, and implementation approaches for next-generation network management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect and guide the design of modern NMS platforms using model-driven management
• Define and enforce best practices around YANG models, telemetry, and control interfaces
• Lead or advise on implementations using gNMI, gRPC, and streaming telemetry
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of network management solutions
• Collaborate with OSS/BSS teams to ensure clean integration and data flows
• Provide technical leadership, reviews, and mentorship to engineering teams
• Translate operational and business requirements into technical architecture
Required Skills & Experience
• Deep, hands-on expertise with:
• YANG data modeling
• gNMI
• gRPC
• Strong understanding of network management architectures and telemetry systems
• Experience designing or operating carrier-grade or large-scale networks
• Solid grasp of network protocols and device management concepts
• Ability to think architecturally while remaining grounded in implementation realities
Nice to Have
• Experience with OSS/BSS systems and their integration with NMS platforms
• Exposure to telecom, ISP, satellite, or large enterprise network environments
• Familiarity with automation frameworks, observability platforms, or SDN/NFV concepts
• Prior experience in a technical lead or architect role
What We’re Looking For
• A problem-solver, not just a theorist
• Someone comfortable balancing ideal architecture vs real-world constraints
• Clear communicator who can work across engineering and business teams
• Pragmatic, hands-on, and delivery-focused
