Title: Senior Appian Developer

Overview
Seeking a Senior Appian Developer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise workflow and case management solutions within the mortgage and financial services space. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Appian experience, expertise building scalable solutions on AWS, and familiarity with mortgage industry processes (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac exposure preferred).
This role focuses on building robust, automated, and compliant business process solutions that integrate with enterprise data platforms and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Appian-based BPM applications supporting mortgage operations
• Translate business requirements into scalable Appian workflows, process models, rules, and SAIL interfaces
• Build and optimize expression rules, record types, and integrations
• Support API integrations (REST/SOAP) and secure connections with external systems
• Contribute to custom integrations or backend services using Java when needed
• Work with AWS cloud environments (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM)
• Ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, and compliant
• Participate in DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git)

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Appian application development experience
• Deep knowledge of Appian platform features: SAIL interfaces, process models, record types, expression rules, integrations
• Strong understanding of business process modeling (BPM) and workflow automation
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end enterprise workflow solutions
• Solid understanding of SQL, data modeling, and enterprise database integration
• Hands-on experience with API integrations and secure integration patterns
• Working knowledge of Java for custom integrations or plugins
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience in mortgage or financial services, preferably Freddie Mac programs
• Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD practices and Git
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
