Description:
Diversified Systems is searching for a CADD/GIS Administrator who will build and maintain Geographic Information System (GIS) applications supporting transportation asset management and data governance programs.

The position will function as a highly skilled CGA responsible for developing GIS-based data collection applications, supporting enterprise GIS implementations, providing technical support for GIS technologies, and assisting with Data Governance initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support GIS-based data collection applications including creating feature classes, related tables, publishing map services, creating web mapping applications, testing solutions, providing customer support, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide support for enterprise GIS implementations including developing and maintaining feature classes, web mapping applications, metadata creation, and customer support.
  • Provide direct support of various CADD/GIS software and hardware systems.
  • Perform software testing and routine maintenance.
  • Create dashboards utilizing analytic BI and geospatial tools.
  • Assist with phone and online problem reporting and maintain problem report records.
  • Maintain data backups and data archives and provide data retrieval from backup.
  • Monitor system status and data integrity.
  • Provide support for various Python scripting efforts.
  • Support Data Governance project activities as assigned.
  • Develop data models and Technical Requirements Specification documents to support application development.
  • Utilize technical writing skills to create and update manuals and guides based on business needs.
  • Translate business needs into ODOT GIS solutions and applications.


Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study required.
  • 5 years of ArcGIS for Desktop experience required.
  • 3 years of experience editing and maintaining data in a GIS environment required.
  • 1 year of Python or similar scripting experience required.
  • ArcPy knowledge highly desired.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Ability to collaborate with supporting resources across business and functional lines required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Strong meeting facilitation and work session skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
  • Ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines required.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting experience with minimal supervision required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English required.
  • Ability to translate business needs into GIS system requirements required.


Highly Desired Skills:

  • Microsoft Power BI experience highly desired.
  • ArcGIS Field Maps experience highly desired.
  • ArcServer experience highly desired.
