Summary
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in Java, AWS, microservices, and modern cloud-based application development. The ideal candidate will be hands-on technically and capable of contributing to architecture, system design, performance optimization, and production support.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications and distributed systems.
- Build and enhance cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical strategy.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve application performance.
- Ensure code quality, security, scalability, and adherence to engineering best practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD, automation, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Identify and resolve technical risks and cross-team dependencies.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong Java and object-oriented development experience.
- Strong AWS experience, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, API Gateway, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and X-Ray.
- Strong SQL and relational database experience, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Aurora.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of system design, data structures, algorithms, and problem solving.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines; GitLab preferred.
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with automated testing and unit testing.
- Understanding of application and cloud security best practices.
Preferred Skills
- Python, Node.js, Go, or similar languages.
- React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- AWS QuickSight.
- Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience with distributed and high-availability systems.
