Job Summary:


  • Come join our team! We currently have an exciting Permanent (Direct Hire) opportunity in Jacksonville, FL for a Quality Engineer with 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment to provide support to the QA and other teams on quality principles for monitoring and improving process and product quality. Battery experience is a big plus.


Job Description:


  • Take the lead in defining, performing, and supporting the quality assurance activities in specific cell and/or battery production.

  • Create and apply FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Control Plan methods to assure the robustness of new and existing battery designs and processes.

  • Use statistical methods as appropriate to establish sampling and quality plans, determine process capability, implement control charts and inspections.

  • Analyze cell and battery performance data and process measurement data for special cause conditions and assist in implementing corrective actions.

  • Implement and lead problem solving method through use of WC PDCA tool.

  • Perform/assist in incoming inspection activities.

  • Document control as applicable to testing and inspection of products from incoming to packaging as per work instructions and quality plans.

  • Any other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


  • Associate degree preferred. Minimum of High School diploma/GED.

  • Certifications in quality related tools desired but not required.

  • Willingness to pursue certifications.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Working knowledge of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plan, and SPC approach for risk mitigation.

  • Practical knowledge and application of quality principles and requirements.

  • Ability to interpret product engineering specifications and prints.

  • Familiarity with measurement tools and systems.

  • Experience with statistical analysis software and basic Microsoft office a plus.

  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management standard requirements a plus.

  • Work independently under the direction of standards.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good project management skills.

  • Ability to influence change.

  • Balancing and prioritization of activities
