Title: SAP DRC Expert
Location: Wickliffe, OH (Remote with travel required 1 - 2 weeks a month)
12+ Month Contract
 
Jey Responsibilities
SAP DRC Configuration & Technical Enablement
  • Design, configure, and support SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) in S/4HANA and ECC environments.
  • Set up and manage compliance reporting frameworks, including statutory and legal reports.
  • Configure country-specific legal forms, registers, and tax reports using SAP DRC.
  • Enable and maintain e-Document, e-Invoicing, e-Reporting, and real-time tax compliance scenarios.
Integration & Technical Development
  • Implement and support integration between SAP DRC and:
    • Government / tax authority platforms
    • SAP Localization Hub
    • Third-party tax engines (e.g., Vertex, Avalara, Taxware)
  • Work on IDocs, XML mappings, APIs, and middleware (PI/PO, CPI).
  • Develop and enhance ABAP objects, CDS views, BAdIs, and user exits related to compliance reporting.
Localization & Regulatory Compliance
  • Support country-specific compliance requirements (e.g., EU, LATAM, India, Middle East, APAC).
  • Analyze regulatory changes and translate them into SAP DRC technical and configuration solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT/GST, SAF-T, e-way bills, e-invoicing, real-time reporting requirements.
AMS, Support & Governance
  • Provide L2/L3 production support for SAP DRC issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and permanent fixes for compliance and reporting defects.
  • Support audits, statutory reviews, and business validations.
  • Create technical documentation, run books, and KT materials.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with Finance, Tax, Legal, and SAP Functional teams.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, tax partners, and government platforms.
  • Support testing cycles (Unit, Integration, UAT) and deployment activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
  • Strong experience in SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC)
  • Hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA (Finance and Localization)
  • Solid ABAP technical skills (Reports, Enhancements, Interfaces)
  • Experience with e-Invoicing, e-Reporting, statutory reporting
  • Knowledge of SAP Localization Toolset / Localization Hub
  • Understanding of tax concepts, VAT/GST compliance frameworks
Technical Skillset
  • ABAP, OO-ABAP, CDS Views
  • IDoc, XML, Web Services, APIs
  • SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI
  • SAP GRC / Localization-related components (good to have)
