Job Description:

The Standard Solutions group at Solar Turbines is at the forefront of developing innovative products and tools that drive success for our customers across diverse industries. We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Software Developer to join our dynamic team. If you thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment and enjoy creative problem-solving, this role offers an exciting opportunity.

This position is 5 days a week in office in San Diego, CA.

Position Overview:

As a Software Developer, you will collaborate with a global cross-functional team to design, develop, and implement modern software tools using Agile development methodologies. You will work with new technologies to modernize legacy software tools and support ongoing digital transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product owner, technical architect, business analysts, and stakeholders to develop and implement modern software tools that support product design, testing, and validation.
  • Create detailed technical designs and project plans.
  • Implement solutions that ensure robust, efficient, and secure software performance.
  • Mentor, train, and support team members in upgrading existing software tools and developing new tools.

What You Need to Have:
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience with C#, VB.NET, Python, TypeScript, and the .NET framework, along with hands-on expertise in database design using Oracle or SQL.
  • Experience with desktop application development using WinUI or other XAML-based frameworks is preferred; a solid understanding of Windows Forms (WinForms) is required.
  • Strong proficiency with ORM tools such as Entity Framework and Dapper.
  • Solid knowledge of front-end technologies, including ReactJS and Angular (v17+), is desirable.
  • Familiarity with API development, middleware concepts, and token-based authentication/authorization.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with end users and business leaders.

Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Experience in modernizing legacy software tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies, as well as user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles.

Managing Multiple Priorities:
  • Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

Summary Pay Range:

$120,600.00 - $180,900.00
